LANDOVER, Md. – The Detroit Lions got touchdowns from Jahmyr Gibbs (3), Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams as their offense was on point Sunday afternoon, propelling them to a 44-22 win over the Washington Commanders. The win improves Detroit's record to 6-3 on the season.
The Lions scored on all seven possessions the first-team offense was in the game for (five touchdowns & two field goals), building a 25-point second-half lead Washington couldn't overcome. Lions punter Jack Fox did not punt in the game as backup quarterback Kyle Allen led a field goal drive late in the fourth quarter for Detroit's final points.
The Lions' offense racked up 546 total yards with 226 of those coming on the ground as they got back to their high scoring, big play ways.
