A driver who was "inviting confrontation" during a road rage incident in western Sydney has been handed a 16-year jail sentence after he "used his vehicle as a weapon" to cause the tragic death of Rhyce Harding.
Bradley Wayne Wilkinson, 40, pleaded guilty to manslaughter and failing to stop to help after he held Mr Harding against his ute one morning at Blackett in June last year and accelerated.
The 27-year-old attempted to maintain his footing but was dragged some 55 metres before being badly injured by a rear wheel.
Wilkinson continued on his way to work and did not hand himself in until after police made a public appeal for information and began investigating.
