Former NFL quarterback Tony Romo bizarrely extended sympathies to an NFL coach who is still alive while calling the Patriots-Buccaneers game on CBS this Sunday.

The Patriots got their eighth win of the season on the day, beating Tampa Bay 28-23 in an exciting affair.

Mike Vrabel’s return to the team as a head coach is going well. But he has been without defensive coordinator Terrell Williams, who is battling prostate cancer, since September.

“I, unfortunately, have to tell you that Terrell Williams was determined to have prostate cancer and is in the process of treatment,” Vrabel revealed back then. “(He’s) meeting with specialists, and figuring out the best plan of attack.”

He also noted that linebackers coach Zak Kuhr would be taking over for Williams while the latter receives treatm
