MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The father of Joshua Henderson, a 16-year-old Bolton High School football player who died from heatstroke after collapsing during practice in July 2025, is demanding answers and accountability from Memphis-Shelby County Schools (MSCS).

Eddie Henderson has placed several items in front of the Frances E. Coe Administration Building — cleats, a football helmet, and family photos — to remind those whom he sees as accountable that he is not giving up on finding answers for his firstborn.

"I never heard an apology from them," Eddie said, pausing to push back tears. "Not one. Not one apology."
