Starting cornerback Darius Slay had the only injury of note for the Steelers in Pittsburgh’s Sunday night loss to the Los Angeles Chargers, head coach Mike Tomlin said following the game.

In his postgame press conference, Tomlin said Slay is in concussion protocol, adding, “We’ll see where that leads us this week.”

“The rest is bumps and bruises associated with the game,” Tomlin said, noting cornerback Joey Porter Jr. was able to return to the game after getting banged up and missing a few snaps.

Slay left the game in the second quarter after tackling Chargers running back Kimani Vidal. During the play, Steelers safety Kyle Dugger collided with Slay, and the two players’ helmets knocked together.
