Lenskart made a muted market debut today, disappointing investors who were expecting strong gains after the company’s heavily subscribed IPO.

The stock opened at Rs 395 on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) , lower than the issue price of Rs 402. On the BSE, it listed at Rs 390, marking a discount of 2.98%.

The weak start came after the company’s grey market premium (GMP) collapsed ahead of listing. Earlier, the GMP stood at around Rs 95, which had pointed to potential listing gains of nearly 24% when the IPO opened for subscription. The fall in GMP signalled caution among traders and a muted debut despite the strong demand during the IPO phase.
