CAIRO, Ga. (WCTV) - Grady County Schools announced late Sunday evening that Superintendent Dr. Eric McFee unexpectedly passed away.
The district’s social media post did not give specifics surrounding the death, but said their “thoughts and prayers are with Dr. McFee’s family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched during this most difficult time.”
The social media post went on to say that Chief Operations Officer Michael Best will temporarily step into the role as “point of contact” for the district.
An interim Superintendent will be named during a regularly scheduled school board meeting on Tuesday, November 11th.
According to McFee’s LinkedIn profile, he has served as Grady County’s Superintendent of Schools since April 2022. Prior to joining the school district, McFee served
