Sammy Grimes, age 75, of Sardis, OH, passed away Friday, November 7, 2025, at his home.

He was born January 2, 1950, in St Marys, WV, a son of the late Samie D. Grimes and Eileen Hutchison Grimes.

He was a retired ironworker with Local 549, Wheeling, WV; and a member of Narrows Run Church of Christ, Sardis, OH.

He loved to fish, and was a big WVU and Ohio State Fan. He coached area youth sports for years in basketball and baseball. He helped build the baseball fields in Sardis.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Steve Grimes.

Survivors include three sons, Barry (Candice) Grimes, Brett (Amanda) Grimes and Brandon Grimes, all of Sardis, OH; a sister, Sheryl (Todd) Stockel of Marietta, OH; seven grandchildren, Derek, Kyle, Logan, Dillon, Brielle, Ambie and
