Palm Springs High School finished last season with five consecutive losses and in last place in the Desert Empire League, while star Koa Rapolla was sidelined with a broken arm.

Fast forward a year, and on Friday, with Rapolla leading the way, the Indians are rolling in the CIF Southern Section postseason.

Rapolla scored twice on offense and once on defense as Palm Springs steamrolled Claremont, 33-7, in the first round of Division 7 playoffs inside Ralph Watt Stadium.
