New Delhi: Thousands of citizens participated in a 10-kilometre “Unity March” in Gorakhpur to celebrate the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, widely known as the “Iron Man of India.” This march is part of a nationwide series of events organized to honour Patel’s pivotal role in uniting India and strengthening national integrity.

The initiative also marks the 150th year of India’s national song, Vande Mataram . Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath flagged off the march, emphasizing the significance of national unity and integrity. He highlighted how Patel integrated princely states and shaped a united India, reminding citizens that true patriotism includes responsibility toward the nation.
