A woman has been arrested after a 'harmful substance' was thrown over a woman in Glasgow city centre.
Emergency services were called to Buchanan Street at around 6.20pm on Sunday, November 9, following reports of the 'attack'.
A 46-year-old woman was rushed from the scene to hospital for treatment. Her condition is unknown.
Police say that a 51-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the incident. She is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, November 10.
Officers have described the substance as a 'hazardous liquid'.
Chief Inspector Stephen McManus said: “We understand this was a worrying incident and thank the public for their assistance.
“Officers will be in the area and anyone with any concerns can approach them.”
