Bhubaneswar: Popular Odia music composer Abhijit Majumdar, who had been undergoing treatment at AIIMS-Bhubaneswar in a comatose state for the past two months, was on Monday shifted from the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to E6 isolation room in the Medicine Ward.

Giving details of his condition, ECMO Specialist of the hospital Dr Srikant Behera informed that his vitals are stable and he is out of ventilator. However, his repeat MRI brain on October 23 showed no significant radiological improvement. ADVERTISEMENT

The 54-year-old composer was admitted to AIIMS emergency on September 4 in a comatose condition.He was later shifted to the medical ICU under the supervision of ICU and ECMO specialist at AIIMS-Bhubaneswar, Srikant Behera.
