Dehradun : Incidents of bear attacks are creating fear among villagers in several hilly districts of Uttarakhand. Within just 11 days, three people have lost their lives in separate incidents caused by bears. Forest officials have now issued an alert for sensitive districts and urged people to stay cautious.

According to the Forest Department, districts like Pauri, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Pithoragarh, and Bageshwar remain vulnerable to bear attacks. The Govind Wildlife Sanctuary area in Uttarkashi and nearby villages have also reported several such incidents in recent weeks.
