Gorai and Dahisar will soon have new mangrove parks that protect and showcase the untouched mangrove belts in both areas. The Gorai park is almost complete and is expected to open on November 15. Construction at the Dahisar site is still underway and will take more time.

The Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) is building a tourism area in Gorai, while the Mangrove Cell is developing both mangrove parks. Union Minister and Mumbai North MP Piyush Goyal is closely monitoring the work. He reviewed the progress in a high-level meeting held in Borivali earlier this week.
