Model and TV presenter Bec Judd has sparked an online debate after making a bold claim about a common birthday party tradition: the lolly bag.

The mum-of-four and wife of AFL great Chris Judd revealed she hates the bags of sweets often handed out at children’s parties and has banned her own kids from eating them.

“When my kids get those lolly bags, they know they’re banned from eating them,” Judd said during a chat with fitness coach and mummy blogger Danni Duncan on her podcast.

“They’re not allowed to eat that s***. It goes straight in the bin.”

Duncan agreed, revealing while last year she had given out bubbles and Lego, she had taken things a step further by scrapping party bags altogether at her children’s celebrations this year.
