LONDON, Ky. (WYMT) - Nearly seven months after a tornado destroyed their original location, Triple Threat Martial Arts has reopened in a new building just miles from their previous one.
The martial arts studio was originally located off Highway 25 in London when the May 16 tornado struck Laurel and Pulaski counties, destroying the building and most of the buildings near it.
“I think the first day we walked out, really got to us. I was the first one on the scene. Didn’t really know what to do,” said Eddie Burchfield, owner of Triple Threat Martial Arts. “It was just tears man. You know, I get teary eyed thinking about it. It’s just like everything we worked so hard, you know.”
Burchfield and co-owner Jamie Sarsany have moved the studio to a new location where they have been hosting class
