Jimmy Thelin has seen his Aberdeen team progress in recent weeks but it still hasn’t been quick enough for his liking.
The Scottish Cup winners were slow to get out of the blocks but have lost just two of their last seven games in the Premiership and in Europe.
The Dons still sit a disappointing eighth in the Premiership and some 19 points off the early leaders Hearts .
It is well below Pittodrie expectations and Thelin acknowledges that there needs to be a big improvement after the international break.
Thelin said: “We are growing slowly. We are taking it step by step.
“When you play at home you want to win.
“You want the development to grow quicker.
