A former Bangladeshi minister has alleged a nexus between current interim leader Muhammad Yunus and powerful families in the United States – Bidens, Clintons and Soroses – in bringing down the Sheikh Hasina government last year.
Former Bangladesh minister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury, in an interview to Russia Today earlier this week, explained the “money maze" routed through NGOs – he gave USAID and International Republican Institute as examples – that helped to fund the anti-government protests that eventually led to the ouster of Sheikh Hasina.
Hasina, who fled Bangladesh on August 5, 2024, is now said to be living in exile in New Delhi even as her country faces fresh elections in the coming months.
