PHOENIX — One person is dead and another seriously hurt after a crash in north Phoenix on Sunday morning, according to the city's police department.
At about 10:30 a.m., officers were reportedly called to a crash involving two vehicles at the intersection of 19th Avenue and Encanto Boulevard.
Police said once they got on scene, they found two damaged vehicles.
Both drivers were identified and medically treated by Phoenix Fire before being taken to the hospital.
Ronald Johnson, 78, died due to injuries sustained in the crash. The other driver was treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
Police say no signs of impairment were reported.
Detectives are investigating this crash.
