A serious blast occurred near Gate No. 1 of the Lal Qila (Red Fort) Metro Station in Old Delhi on Monday evening at around 6:55 PM. The explosion happened in a parked car and was powerful enough to catch nearby vehicles on fire, causing panic among locals and tourists.
The latest reports confirm that 8 people have died due to the blast, and their bodies have been taken to LNJP Hospital. Over 12 others are injured, and this number might increase as more information comes out. Many victims were street vendors and bystanders who were close to the explosion.
