The number of flight delays and cancellations at San Diego International Airport imposed by the U.S. Department of Transportation continued to climb Monday, leaving travelers scrambling or stranded for the fourth day.
An estimated 80 flights were cancelled out of San Diego International Airport over the weekend, according to FlightAware. Some 10,000 flights nationwide were cancelled over the weekend.
As of early Monday morning, FlightAware reported 50 cancelled flights in and out of San Diego's airport. Also a potential factor in the more than 50 flight delays in San Diego on Monday was a dense fog advisory until 8 a.m.
