Get ready, North Jersey — cold weather is on its way to the area.
The chill started in the early hours of Monday, Nov. 10, with temperatures dipping into the upper 20s (in some areas) to the low 30s as a stretch of cold continues.
While daytime highs on Monday are expected to reach the low to mid-50s, it will be a different story after the sun sets as overnight lows are expected to dip into the mid to upper 20s, according to meteorologist Nick Guzzo. The week is expected to stay mostly dry, with precipitation tapering off on Monday, with little chance of rain in the coming week.
A freeze warning has been issued by the National Weather Service for parts of North Jersey and New York for Nov. 10 into Nov. 11.
