Rod Wave was arrested on drug and weapons charges in Atlanta last Friday, Nov. 7.
According to Fulton County online jail records, the musician — real name Rodarius Green — was booked on two counts of possessing a controlled substance, possession of a firearm or knife, and reckless driving. He was released Saturday, Nov. 8, on an $8,000 bond, his lawyer confirmed.
In a statement shared with Rolling Stone , Green’s lawyers — Drew Findling, Marissa Goldberg, and Zack Findling — said the musician was “unjustly profiled and unlawfully arrested.” They claimed the arresting officer was part of the Atlanta Police Department’s “controversial Crime Suppression Unit — a group known for its aggressive tactics and emphasis on high arrest numbers rather than genuine public safety.”
