A blast in a car near Gate No. 1 of Red Fort Metro Station has been reported on Monday, 10 November at around 7.30pm. At least eight people have reportedly been killed and six are injured. The casualties have been taken to the Lok Nayak Jai Prakash hospital.

Fire tenders, ambulances, and senior police officials were present the spot. Three to four vehicles also caught fire and sustained damage.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah spoke with the Delhi Police Commissioner after the incident. Teams from the National Security Guard (NSG), National Investigating Agency (NIA), and the forensic department were rushed to the spot, ANI has reported.
