A blast occurred near Gate 1 of the Red Fort Metro station in Delhi on Monday evening, triggering a fire that quickly spread to nearby vehicles. Fire tenders were immediately dispatched to the site.
Deputy Chief Fire Officer AK Malik said that information was received about a blast in a car near Chandni Chowk metro station. “We responded immediately and sent seven units to the spot. By 7:29 pm, the fire was brought under control. There is a possibility of multiple casualties. All our teams are present at the spot,” he said.
Eye-witnesses described the scene as shocking, with many expressing horror at the sight of casualties and body parts.
