Police are looking for the driver who they said hit a pedestrian in Danbury Sunday evening and left the scene.
Police said the person was struck on Main Street near Patch Street around 5 p.m. Sunday and officers found the victim lying on the side of the road.

The pedestrian was taken to a hospital to be treated for serious injuries. Police said while the injuries are serious, they are not life-threatening.
The vehicle that hit the person was a light-colored sedan and it has front-end damage, according to police. It was last seen heading north on Main Street before turning right on North Street.
Main Street was closed for several hours while the Danbury Police Accident Investigation Team investigated.
