Police are asking for the public’s help to find a light-colored sedan that struck a pedestrian in Danbury and sped away, leaving the victim injured in the roadway.
The crash was reported around 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 9, on Main Street near Patch Street.
Responding Danbury officers found the victim lying on the side of the road with injuries that were not life-threatening. The driver and vehicle were gone before the police arrived.
Officers shut down a portion of Main Street for several hours while investigating and clearing the crash site.
The suspect vehicle is believed to have front-end damage and was last seen turning from Main Street onto North Street, police said.
Investigators are urging anyone with information or who witnessed the crash to contact Sgt. Wakeman or Officer Wolen at 203-797-2157.
