Following the deadly explosion outside Delhi's Red Fort Metro Station on Monday evening that killed at least 10 people and injured 24 others, security agencies have declared a high alert across the national capital . A high alert was sounded for the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport as well as Metro and railway stations in Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR).

The blast, which occurred near Gate No. 1 of the Red Fort Metro Station, has prompted an immediate high-alert status across Delhi, and in neighbouring Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. Other cities like Mumbai, Kolkata and Hyderabad have also intensified surveillance and security checks.
