Boston's Logan International Airport saw more than 150 flight cancellations over the weekend, as the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) cut flights amid the government shutdown.

Last week, Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy announced a 10% reduction in flights at 40 major U.S. airports, a measure he said is necessary to keep the country's airspace safe and running smoothly as the shutdown drags on.

And as of 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 10, more than 1,400 flights had been canceled at airports across the country.

Although most employees at the FAA and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) are deemed "essential" and have been expected to work through the shutdown , they won't get paid until the government is funded again.
