New Delhi, Nov 10 (UNI) Ten people were killed and more than 24 injured in a high-intensity explosion that tore through a car near the Red Fort metro station on Monday evening.

The blast set multiple vehicles ablaze and shattered nearby windowpanes. Police have sounded high alert across Delhi NCR and sealed the entire area.

Terror angle behind the incident is also being explored by investigators.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is closely monitoring the situation and spoke with Home Minister Amit Shah.
