Stories emerged during this past offseason claiming that Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross could move on from general manager Chris Grier, head coach Mike McDaniel and quarterback Tua Tagovailoa if the club failed to earn at least one playoff win in January 2026.

That was before the Dolphins fell to 2-7 and before the club "mutually" agreed to part ways with Grier on Oct. 31. Miami then improved to 3-7 via a shocking 30-13 blowout win over the Buffalo Bills (6-3) on Sunday.

The following day, Mike Sando of The Athletic suggested that McDaniel and Tagovailoa could have a future with the Dolphins beyond Week 18 of the ongoing campaign.
