BEAUMONT, Texas (KTRE) - Former Woodville Eagle JaCorey Hyder caught his second touchdown of the year in Lamar’s 14-12 win over Southeastern Louisiana on Saturday.
On the year, the senior has 10 catches and two touchdowns.
Hyder finished with two catches for 26 yards. He scored the first points of the game when he caught a 9-yard touchdown pass from Robert Coleman. Aiden McCown (Rusk) was 1-for-5 passing for nine yards and had four carries for two yards. Britain Simmons (Jasper) caught two passes for 35 yards. Omarion Rasberry (Garrison) had five carries for 25 yards. Defensively, Mar Mar Evans (Center) had an interception. Zaylon Stoker (Kilgore) and Peyton Christian (Kilgore) had three tackles each.
Lamar (8-2, 5-1) travels to Nacogdoches to face SFA on Saturday.
