Two young Duluth Figure Skating Club members will take part later this month at the Midwestern Sectional Singles and U.S. Pairs Final from Nov. 17-21 in East Lansing, Michigan.

Isabella Bowman will be competing in the Novice Women division, while Evan Zhou is in Juvenile Boys. The skaters achieved this opportunity on the strength of strong performance and technical scores throughout a series of qualifying events.

"It’s a dream for many skaters, and we are incredibly proud of Evan and Isabella for reaching this level and representing the spirit, hard work, and determination that have defined the Duluth Figure Skating Club for nearly 100 years," DFSC director Alyssa Judnick said in a news release.
