CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Authorities have identified a 3-year-old boy who died after being found unresponsive in a pond behind his family’s house.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner on Monday confirmed the boy’s identity is Jerome Adompreh-Fia, 3, of Solon.
The medical examiner has not yet released an official cause of death, but Solon police say the boy accidentally drowned.
Police about 1:30 p.m. Saturday went to the home on Capilano Drive after the boy’s father reported him missing, according to Solon police.
Investigators searched the area and discovered the child unresponsive and lying in a pond behind the house. Adompreh-Fia was pronounced dead at University Hospitals Ahuja Medical Center.
