LSU interim coach Frank Wilson said both Garrett Nussmeier and Michael Van Buren will play at quarterback against Arkansas, but Nussmeier "remains in position to be the starter" heading into the week.
During a 20-9 loss Saturday night against Alabama, the Tigers benched Nussmeier in the third quarter and inserted Van Buren for the rest of the game.
"Both of those guys will play in this game moving forward," Wilson said Monday.
The Tigers (5-4) play Arkansas (2-7) at 11:45 a.m. inside Tiger Stadium.
Nussmeier completed 86% of his passes (18 of 21) for 121 yards with no touchdowns and no interceptions against Alabama. It was only the second time in two years as LSU's starting quarterback that Nussmeier did not throw a touchdown in a game.
