A passenger who died on board a Carnival Cruise Line ship was identified on Monday, records showed.

According to public records, the Miami-Dade Medical Examiner's Office determined that Anna Kepner died on Friday morning.

The cause of her death was not released.

Carnival Cruise said Kepner was traveling on the Carnival Horizon, and the ship returned to PortMiami as planned on Saturday.

The FBI has since taken over the investigation.
