WASHINGTON — As 13,000 air traffic controllers continue to work without pay during a government shutdown now in its 41st day, President Donald Trump condemned flight controllers who have called in sick and suggested a $10,000 bonus for those who have consistently shown up for their jobs.

“All Air Traffic Controllers must get back to work, NOW!!!,” Trump wrote on Truth Social on Monday morning, as flight restrictions continued to wreak havoc on air travel throughout the country. “Anyone who doesn’t will be substantially ‘docked.’”
