The Walker County Animal Shelter is offering residents assistance in keeping their pets warm this winter.

The shelter says it will help those in need with temporary shelter, bedding, or other supplies.

In a social media post, the animal shelter says they want to make sure pets have access to warm, dry shelter and protection from the cold as temperatures are lower this week.

"We'll do what we can to help keep pets safe this winter," the Walker County Animal Shelter said.

Those who need help can email them at animalcontroldispatch@walkerga.us .

Additionally, if you have old animal housing you no longer need, you can donate them to the Walker County Animal Shelter.
