ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Georgia U.S. Senators Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock are two of 40 U.S. Senators who voted with their party Sunday night against a stopgap funding bill that would keep the government funded through Jan. 30th.

Healthcare is the sticking point for both Georgia Senators.

Warnock says Americans should not have to decide between putting food on the table and affordable health insurance.

Ossoff says the funding bill would double healthcare premiums for more than 1.4 million Americans. He also says it would put nearly half a million Americans at risk of losing coverage altogether.

“The President refuses to fix it, and withholds SNAP benefits, while the House has not even come to work for a week,” Ossoff said.
