Eight TD Bank branches across New Jersey are scheduled to close early next year as part of the company’s ongoing plan to strengthen its U.S. retail network, officials confirmed.

The closures will take effect January 29, 2026, a TD Bank spokesperson confirmed in a statement.

“At Investor Day last month, TD shared plans to deliver a stronger, more scalable U.S. retail presence through significant store enhancements, tech-forward digital banking capabilities, and personalized, advice-led services,” the statement read.

The company said it regularly evaluates its network to ensure branches are located where customers need them most. “At times, this results in store closures or relocations to nearby neighborhoods,” the bank said.

TD Bank emphasized that it expects to open new stores in these communities in the future, pending regulatory approval. “In the meantime, we’re committed to making these transitions as smooth as possible for clients and customers,” the statement continued.

Customers affected by the changes can still visit more than 1,000 TD Bank locations or use online and mobile banking services.
