INDIANAPOLIS -- Officials with the office of Indiana Gov. Mike Braun announced that partial benefits from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program will soon be issued to eligible Indiana residents.
According to a news release from Braun's office, officials said that SNAP benefits will begin processing on Monday and are expected to be available on qualifying EBT cards starting Tuesday.
The U.S. Senate voted on Sunday evening to advance a proposal that could reopen the federal government after a group of Democrats joined Republicans in the vote. According to previous reports, SNAP benefits have been impacted by the ongoing shutdown.
