KISS guitarist Ace Frehley’s cause of death was determined to be a blunt force head injury resulting from a fall.
The musician, who died on Oct. 16 , experienced a skull fracture, a subdural hematoma and a stroke, according to a medical examiner’s report obtained by TMZ Monday.
According to the Cleveland Clinic, a subdural hematoma is defined as “a type of bleeding near your brain that can happen after a head injury.”
The condition can result in slurred speech, headaches and can be life-threatening.
Frehley — born Paul Daniel Frehley — was placed on life support and underwent an unsuccessful medical procedure before his family made the decision to withdraw life-sustaining treatment, according to the outlet.
His death was ruled to be an accident.
