A Guelph woman is facing criminal charges after a man was hit several times with a wrench.
According to Guelph police, emergency services were called to a home near Paisley and Norfolk streets at about 2:30 a.m. on Sunday. There, a man was found with blood all over his face and clothing. The man told officers a neighbour, with whom he has an ongoing dispute, forced her way inside his home and hit him several times with a large wrench, leaving a large gash on his forehead.
Police added the man was able to disarm her and get her out of his unit.
The man was treated on scene by paramedics.
A 35-year-old Guelph woman was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon, being unlawfully in a dwelling and breaching a probation order in connection with the investigation.
