With news of Dharmendra's hospitalisation spreading, several rumours also started doing the rounds, including fake news pertaining to his death. The veteran actor's son Sunny Deol's team sent out a public statement late on Monday night saying that Dharmendra's condition was stable and that he was under observation.

"Mr Dharmendra is stable and under observation. Further comments and updates will be shared as available. Kindly don't indulge in spreading false rumours regarding his health. Request everyone to pray for his speedy recovery and respect the family's right to privacy," a statement issued by Team Sunny Deol said.
