INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission is considering a $7 billion generation plan submitted by Indiana Michigan Power to build AI data centers for Amazon and Google.
According to a news release, Citizens Action Coalition has urged the IURC to reject the request filed by Indiana Michigan Power to build and purchase power plants for new Amazon and Google AI data centers at undisclosed locations.
Indiana Michigan Power has filed an Expedited Generation Resource plan in a move that the CAC has said could become "the most expensive proposed expansion of generation by a utility in a docketed proceeding in Indiana history."
