Over 2.2 lakh voters to decide fate of 27 candidates
Jammu Tawi, Nov 10: Two politically significant assembly constituencies, Budgam in Central Kashmir and Nagrota in Jammu district are set to witness a high stake bye-election on Tuesday with over 2.2 lakh voters to cast their ballots for the second time in 13 months to decide the fate of 27 candidates in the fray.
Bypoll to Nagrota Assembly Constituency is set to be held on Tuesday amid tight security arrangements, a total of 97,893 voters are eligible to cast their vote at 154 polling stations between 7 AM and 6 PM. The Government has declared the polling day as paid holiday.
“All necessary arrangements have been put in place for smooth polling. Adequate security measures have also been ensured,” a senior official said. He added that
