The Delaware Supreme Court held an extraordinary session in Wilmington on Nov. 10 − its first in a decade − to hear arguments that may put some finality on New Castle County school districts' extraordinarily odd taxing season.

The arguments hinged on dry topics like the intention of long-dead delegates in crafting specific language in the state's constitution, case law from a century ago, and a nitty-gritty comparison of how courts have interpreted Delaware and Pennsylvania's constitution over the decades.
