Dani Loeb hasn't made the U.S. Olympic Team yet. But she's already achieved a first for the U.S. Ski Team.

Loeb is the first U.S. Ski Team member to grow up in Alabama and has been on the U.S. Freestyle Ski Team for five years.

Jamie Loeb, Dani Loeb's mother, said, "She didn't come from a ski community. As a matter of fact, her first year on the developmental team, they took her and taught her how to ski."

As a kid, Dani's Olympic dreams were in gymnastics. She was a Level 10 gymnast training in Coppell, Texas, when a friend sent a video of Dani tumbling to a U.S. aerials coach.

Aerials skiing is a freestyle skiing discipline that combines skiing and acrobatics. Skiers go down a steep ramp, fly into the air, and do flips and twists before landing on the snow.
