EAGAN, Minn. — Minnesota Vikings edge rusher Jonathan Greenard appears to have avoided serious injury after leaving Sunday's game against the Baltimore Ravens with a shoulder injury.
Vikings coach Kevin O'Connell is hopeful that the Pro Bowler could be available for Sunday's game against Chicago, but will use the week to monitor his recovery.
"He's sore today, but we'll see if he can get some time in this week on the practice field and potentially be available for this Sunday," O'Connell said Monday. "But I do think we avoided a long-term injury with him."
