After years of construction and two test runs with thousands of volunteers, we have an opening date for the new terminal at Pittsburgh International Airport.

"From a functional standpoint, really, you're going to have a much faster, streamlined security experience. You're going to have a faster baggage claim. It's going to be twice as fast to get your bags in the new terminal, compared to the old terminal," airport spokesman Bob Kerlik said. "And then, when you get through, parking is going to be much more streamlined for folks be able to get through. There's a terminal lot that you can walk from that is right next to the terminal.
